PREMIA – Best Student Paper in 2009 Award |

The
Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association (PREMIA),
which is the Singapore member association of the International
Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), is offering two Best
Student Paper awards for papers published in 2009.
First Prize S$1000.00
Second Prize S$500.00
The closing date for entries is 15 January 2010.
Submissions will be judged by a selection panel appointed by the PREMIA Board. The decisions of the selection panel are final.
The results will be announced in February 2010 and the Prizes will be
presented at the PREMIA Member's Night (or another PREMIA event) in
February 2010. |

The 2009 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in the evening of 19 August (Wednesday) at Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild, 1010 Dover Road, Singapore 139658 (Singapore Poly Gate No 4). We have prepared a rich program for the night. As in our past AGMs, we will have a pre-AGM talk on advanced Hough transform to be given by A/Prof. Shi Daming. Hough transform is a common method for the detection of simple objects such as lines and circles in digital images. Members are invited to a dinner before the talk. |
